I recently came across this website, the office supplies comic strip, which is created and maintained by Lola Akinmade. She uses office supplies as characters to make hilarious commentaries on everyday events in the workplace. I especially liked the one called “Flat Screen Harassment.” It depicts a keyboard and a flat screen monitor and the keyboard makes a comment about how skinny the monitors are getting these days. The monitor then accuses the keyboard of sexual harassment. There is an army of helmeted markers, memo reading computer diskettes and an obituary for a stapler. It makes for a very funny read, and I recommend it for anyone looking for something a little different.  Office Supplies Comic Strip

Every year, The Proficiency Index conducts their Annual Productivity Review which lists the top office supplies productivity performers in the USA and the UK. This year, BuyOnlineNow ranked number 5 in the USA and UK combined listing, and number 1 for companies just in the USA. The list is compiled by determining how many dollars a company earned over the last year, divided by how many employees they have. This gives an average amount of money earned per employee. We rank in at 5th based on sales of 578,000 per employee. This is over $100,000 dollars per employee more than the next US based company. "Our ranking as the most productive office products retailer in the US speaks volumes about the dedication of our people" said BuyOnlineNow President Bob Herman. "Their commitment to working efficiently has allowed us to improve the level of service we provide our customers while holding down prices." The overall average for the top 20 companies on the list is up 6% from last year at $499,000. BuyOnlineNow has increased sales by 47% to $29.5m. Interestingly, BuyOnlineNow was one of three total companies in the top 20 that operate out of the state of Minnesota.
