Today in our weekly meeting, my co-worker, Travis, said he had an idea for a blog post. My immediate reaction was – Great! – because I can always use new, fresh ideas. Then the first words out of his mouth were “Urinal Cakes.” At this point, I just shook my head and wondered where he was going with this. However, it is definitely blog-post-worthy.
This weekend he was attending a going away party for a family friend, and took his three-year-old son to the bathroom of the restaurant. Once they got in there, his son immediately reached for a urinal cake in one of the urinals, picked it up and asked Travis, “What’s this?” Apparently, he didn’t want it to be in the urinal when he did his business.
Being kind of the germ-freak I am, I gagged and hoped that Travis had washed his son’s hands about 30 times after contact was made. He reassured me that he had his son wipe his hands off on his pants and that “it’s all good.” (Just kidding, of course he washed his hands… I think.)
Anyway, that was our humor for the day – and very entertaining to picture it happening. Have your kids or friends’ kids done anything that just makes you cringe while you’re in public, or even at home? Please feel free to share these stories – especially if they have any tiny random connection to office products – even if it’s just urinal cakes!
