“The ‘Post-it Note Wars’ rage in Paris”. This was a recent headline on CNN. Sounds a little bit strange, doesn’t it? But, as CNN explains, it’s real. “As fears of a euro meltdown continue apace, a guerilla war of Post-it note art has broken out in office spaces across corporate Paris.”

A few months ago, employees at the French computer gaming company Ubisoft, put up a Post-it note image from the 1980s classic “Space Invaders” on the window.

A war was born.

The next day, BNP (the largest bank in France, just across the way from Ubisoft) drew a Pac-Man. And so began La guerre des Post-it (the Post-it wars).

The Post-it art soon swept across offices in the business district, with images ranging from a simple Tweety Bird or Bart Simpson, to seven-story high, computer-designed plans using thousands of Post-it notes.
