It’s October in Minnesota, and you know what that means, it’s only going to get colder and colder for the next few months. We have sub-zero temperatures and abundant snowfall to look forward too. I’m not sure many people look forward to that though. Here in the office there are a few people that try their hardest to forget about these upcoming cold days and concentrate on staying warm.
Space heaters are beginning to be a popular item around the office. Even though we are in a well heated building, nothing beats a compact heater near your feet. These little heaters offer you a comfort level like no other. With options ranging from oscillating fans and comfort control thermostats to auto safety shut-offs and energy efficient settings, these heaters are a great investment. There’s always a fresh pot of coffee brewed in the office in the morning but some of us have been switching to flavored teas to keep us warm and give ourselves the extra little caffeine boost we need in the morning. Green tea’s have been a popular item lately and it’s no wonder why. According to a recent University of Purdue study, researchers concluded that a compound in green tea inhibits the growth of cancer cells. Green tea also lowers your bodies total cholesterol levels, as well as improving the ratio of good (HDL) cholesterol to bad (LDL) cholesterol. Laura Hurley, Web Content Assistant, says, “There is no better way to start off a work day than with a hot cup of tea in front of my Heat Runner Ceramic Heater.”
