Successfully Plan For The Next Day PDF Print E-mail
Written by JJewell

Do you ever find yourself at the end of the day feeling like you started a lot of projects but didn’t get any of them completed?  By planning ahead you can stay more focused throughout the day and easily handle the unexpected.  Here are some tips to help you plan out the next day.

  • Give yourself a little time at the end of the day, say 15 minutes or so, and create a list of tasks you want to have finished the next day.  Go over your calendar and check for any meetings or deadlines and add any of the things you weren’t able to finish today to your list.
  • Get all documents that you will be using ready, by saving them to your desktop, so they will be easy to retrieve the following morning.  Have a file folder on hand to put any papers you will be using and leave this on your desk or work area so they will be readily available when you begin work the next day.
  • Lastly, go over all of your office supplies, pens, highlighters, notepads etc. and replenish any of the items that are running low.  This way you will be able to come to work and focus on the tasks you have set out for yourself without having to worry about running out of ink or staples or any other minor distractions.

Pretty useful tips. Office Supplies are pretty boring, but what about organization, productivity, office humor and annoying your coworkers?
