Desk fans come in many different styles and sizes including wall mounting, oscillating, three-speed, clip-on and more.  I got the Atlantic Breeze 6” Personal Clip-On Fan which has two speeds and clips right on to my desk.  Doesn’t that just sound so nice and soothing, Atlantic Breeze?  Ahh, just like being at the beach. 

In the office I used to be in there were 12 people and their computers, all of which had at least two monitors.  There was no breeze of any kind, especially not any Atlantic Breeze.  As it would get later in the day, the temperature in the room would steadily rise until by the end of the day it could be really hard to stay focused because it was so warm.  Just by using the small 6” fan, and directing its “Atlantic Breeze” towards my face, I was able to get the air around me circulating a little more making the afternoons much more comfortable. 

Another quality of the fan I liked was that it clipped right on the side of my desk so it did not take up very much of my valuable desktop real estate.  I’m thinking of getting one to put on the left side of my desk now, although I think I may put a label on it that says “Pacific Breeze” since it will be blowing from the west.
