I’ve never really been a huge fan of extra fine point pens. I have typically liked using more of a bold point pen for taking notes, writing letters or even making random doodles. However, I recently was asked to score some speeches for a high school contest, and I brought them to work one day to edit during my lunch break. I grabbed a red pen that was sitting at my desk, and had gone through a few speeches before I realized that it was an extra fine point pen. As I had been editing, I was realizing how smoothly the pen glided along the paper as I wrote and how it didn’t leak through to the next page.
I continued on to edit a total of 18 speeches and never got sick of the pen. Sometimes, when I find a good pen, it is as if my handwriting actually improves over the time I use the pen. I know it sounds crazy, but that’s just me!
Anyway – this “magical” pen is the Pilot VBall Grip Rollerball Pen, and I might just have to go out and purchase the blue and black ones to use along with the red one!
Forgive the sloppy writing, but here is an example of the pen’s work.
