Gamemaker MumboJumbo has licensed the rights to “The Office” and it’s cast of characters from NBC Universal, and plans to have a video game version of the hit TV show available by fall 2007.  The cast will be portrayed as bobblehead dolls, and handle jobs and play pranks in a virtual Dunder Mifflin Scranton.

According to MumboJumbo VP Mike Suarez, “Because of it’s simplicity and low cost, “The Office” videogame won’t be available for high powered consoles like the Nintendo Wii , Sony Playstation 3 , and Xbox 360 .”  The game will be available for the handheld gaming devices Nintendo DS and Sony PSP as well as being downloadable on PC’s via the internet.  MumboJumbo makes inexpensive arcade-style games, and hopes the show will have a broad appeal and work well as a game. They believe that casual games are the true mass videogame market.
