How Many Tissues? PDF Print E-mail
Written by LWeis

I made a few mistakes last night.

Mistake 1: Going to my brother’s house thinking I would get to watch The Office distraction-free (he has two daughters: age 4 years and 5 months).

Mistake 2: Thinking that I would get to watch the Office on the main television while the NFL draft was on (my boyfriend was also along with me. Two male votes apparently beat out the voice of one female vote).

Mistake 3: After watching 3/4th of the episode in another room all alone, the men were ready to watch the end of the episode. So, I decided to join them and my niece who was still awake to watch the end.

Mistake 4: (Explains why 3 was a mistake.) The second that Jim walked into Michael’s office, the tears began flowing. And didn’t stop the rest of the episode. Before I knew it, my brother was pointing out to my niece that “Auntie was crying” and they began laughing. Especially when the tears came even harder when I saw Pam enter the airport, as my brother stated, “There’s no way they would have let her past security – she doesn’t have a ticket!” I tried to reason with him that it’s a TV show, but all he said was, “Way to be realistic NBC.”

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the episode. Especially Michael’s reaction to how Oscar acted when he received his parting gift, Jim asking about being filmed in the bathroom, and when Michael took off his microphone and said, “Let me know if this ever airs.”

I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I might have to watch it again in silence some day. In silence and completely alone so I am free to use as many tissues as needed.

P.S. I only needed 2 tissues!

Goodbye Michael Scott PDF Print E-mail

Try to not tear up when you watch this, the preview for tonight’s episode of The Office. This isn't any old episode – it’s Steve Carell’s last episode as Michael Scott, the World's Best Boss. And it is 90-minutes long.

Okay, so maybe you didn’t tear up at the preview. But I am not ashamed to admit that I did the first time, as well as now about the fifth time I’ve seen it.

Maybe you haven’t been as big of a fan as I have been of the Dunder Mifflin gang as I have since day 1. However, I can almost guarantee that at some point in your life, you have had to say goodbye to someone. On a general level, everyone can relate to this episode. So why not watch it. I’ll be back tomorrow to let you know what I thought (and how many tissues I used).

Drink The Soap PDF Print E-mail
Written by LWeis

It happened. And I’m not just talking about watching Ed Helms (Andy Bernard) drink soap. I’m talking about Will Ferrell making his first appearance on The Office.

How did you feel about his performance? Did he fit in or was it awkward? I, myself, enjoyed it. I’m excited to see Ferrell star as Deangelo Vickers for a few episodes. And I have hope in him and his character. “Training Day” was a nice preview to what is hopefully in store for Ferrell’s reign.

From the irony that both Michael and Deangelo are waiting for each other in the hotel bar and don’t realize it, to Kelly’s attempt at a “Meet Cute” with him, to Deangelo then asking Michael’s help for that “Native American girl’s name,” I was thoroughly entertained throughout the entire episode.

If you haven’t watch the episode yet – get on that. If you have and still can’t get enough of Ferrell, check out this deleted scene from this week’s episode.

Time for Goodbye PDF Print E-mail

Image What?!? Michael Scott is engaged – and moving to Colorado? I don’t know which I am more shocked about: the fact that he’s leaving the show, or the fact that someone actually agreed to marry that crazy man.

However, if you’re a fan of funny men, you have reason to be excited. Will Ferrell will be on the show for several episodes when The Office returns on April 14. Preview that joyous moment here.

If you’re not quite ready to say goodbye to Michael Scott just yet, you can watch this tribute to the “World’s Best Boss ” as many times as your heart desires.

Now to leave you with one of my favorite Jim and Michael moments:

Michael: "And in the future if I want to say something funny, or witty, or do an impression, I will no longer, ever do any of those things."
Jim: "Does that include 'That's What She Said?'
Michael: "Mmhmm. Yes."
Jim: "Wow. That is really hard. You really think you can go all day long? Well, you always left me satisfied and smiling, so..."
Michael: "That's what she said!"
